Bethlehem: The second suspect (21) has been arrested in connection with the rape of two teenage girls aged 16 who were kidnapped from a house they were studying.

Two boys had been following them to a house in Extension 8 Bohlokong, where a study group gathered for examination preparations on Thursday 26 October. They were allegedly forced to a shack where they were raped. The first suspect (20) was arrested the following day while his accomplice proved slippery.

On Friday 10 November, Constable Madithope Mvulane of Bethlehem Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit successfully traced the suspect who had been on the run.

He will appear in the Bethlehem Magistrates` Court soon on charges of kidnapping and rape.
