Denesyville: The police in Deneysville arrested four suspects aged between 28 and 40 years for alleged possession of unlicensed firearms and possession of suspected stolen property.

It is alleged that on Sunday; 20 July 2019, a business robbery was committed at one of the shops in Oranjeville. The owner of the shop was pointed with a firearm and the suspects took groceries, cellphones and undisclosed amount of cash.

Oranjeville SAPS activated the neighbouring Deneysville SAPS to be on the lookout for a silver Toyota Tazz. At about 18:40pm, the Deneysville SAPS members spotted the vehicle in their vicinity with four male occupants.

The vehicle was stopped and searched. Two firearms believed to have been used during the robbery as well as suspected stolen items, were found and confiscated.

The vehicle (Toyota Tazz) suspected of having been utilized to commit business robberies in Deneysville, was also confiscated.

Suspects will appear in court soon. Investigation continues.
