Bloemfontein: The line up of this year’s Mangaung Cultural Festival (Macufe) boasts heavyweights, hitmakers and legends on the local music circuit. The week-long festival scheduled to start on October 04 until October 12 2019, will be a smorgasbord of offerings to satisfy all palettes from Afro-pop, hip-hop, jazz and gospel to comedy and international acts.

Leading the offering at the Tshepe Hip Hop concert on October 04 is award-winning musicians Kwesta, Anatii, K.O and Yungsta. Flying the flag for female rappers will be television personality Boity whose recent single have earned her both critical acclaim and applause from fans. Completing the list are PH, Shaxe, Immortal, Mokash D, Lerabele, Castino and Thwenny, Asid, Ohmz and Juvi.

The heavens will reverberate with rousing prayers and worship when the Gospel stage is set alight on October 06 by powerhouses Dumi Mkokstad, Thinah Zungu & Sipho Ngwenya, Sechaba, Sello Malete, Zaza, Limakatso Dumako, Thoko Nogabe and Tsusie Makhalenyane. Free State’s stars Teboho and Keorapetse will hold their own against talent from across the country.

October 09 will be a night of hearty laughs and giggles as comedians poke fun and take the mickey out of everyone. MCd by veteran funnyman and master impersonator Aggrey Lonake, the line up features popular acts like Mashabela Galane, Skhumba Hlophe, Summary, Salesman, Chris Mapane and up and coming talent Tieho Khakhau, Lihle Msimang and Max.

Bochabela Strings Collabo and Simple Stories will set the night to jazz at the Indoor Jazz concert on October 10.

Things will take a turn for powerful vocals with the Divas Concert on October 11 where Thandiswa Mazwai, Lady Zamar, Lira and Nonkosi & Khuthala will deliver memorable performances.

The Main Event on October 12 brings out a glittering line up of the best South Africa and the world has to offer. Already confirmed are Sjava, Thandiswa Mazwai, Vusi Nova, Black Motion, Jaziel Brothers, Mafikizolo featuring Encore and Sello Galane. Semito will proudly represent the Free State province on the stage, while the legendary Tsepo Tshola from Lesotho will add his star power. Local talent Allayen and Star Chalale will also be showcased.
