Fouriesburg: Two 39 year-old suspects, Peter Molaba and Disene Ramakoloi, made a brief appearance before the Magistrate yesterday,14 October 2019, in Fouriesburg. They appeared again in court the following day, 16 October 2019, for application of legal representatives while they remained in custody.

The two were arrested on Friday 11 October, following a Joint Operation led by Bethlehem Detective Coordinator, Crime Intelligence, Fouriesburg Detectives and Members of Visible policing in Fouriesburg.

The team responded to the public outcry concerning increasing cases of murders within the Cluster. Police followed information about the two suspects having an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

This led to the arrest of the duo. During the arrest an unlicensed firearm and live ammunitions were found in possession of the suspects.

Bethlehem Cluster Commander, Major General Jan Tsotetsi said that he is pleased that the two were arrested. He also thanked members of the community for the information that led to the arrest of the two suspects.

In conclusion Major General Jan Tsotetsi said:

“In most cases investigated, we depend solely on the information we receive from the members of the community, I therefore urge to everyone to work hand in hand with the police and not hesitate to any criminal activities, by so doing more lives will be saved.”
