Sasolburg: Police in Zamdela are on a lookout for six suspects for car hijacking and kidnapping.

It is alleged that on Thursday; 16 January  2020, the complainant was driving a metallic black Toyota Epsom on the R57 direction from Sasolburg to Heilbron.

He was stopped by the driver of a white Toyota quantum requesting him to give two male occupants a lift who were going to Heilbron.

The two unknown males were dressed in their overalls and safety boots. During their journey, the complainant was disturbed by an unknown White Ford Ranger which was busy overtaking him and driving recklessly.

The complainant decided to stop and approach the driver of the Ford Ranger. As he was about to go to the car, he noticed that the vehicles registration ended with a B. He assumed that the occupants are police officers and the vehicle belonged to the SAPS.

The driver of the Ford came towards the complainant and they started arguing. During their argument, he was strangled by one of the passengers who was sitting at the back seat while the passenger in the front seat assaulted him.

Three unknown males came out from the Ford and came to his vehicle. They took him and put him in the Ford and drove away with him. They also took his vehicle. The suspects then dropped the complainant off at an open veld where he managed to seek for help.
