Thaba Nchu: Two accused men, Simon Possa (31) and Galeboe Khuduga (29), were sentenced to 15-years-each for house robbery and assault after they attacked a complainant at his house.
On Saturday 2017-04-15, the complainant was at home when two people broke into his house. The suspects pounced on him and demanded money whilst threatening him with a garden spade. Out of nowhere the suspect hit the complainant on head with the spade, then took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene.
A case of house robbery and assault was opened at Thaba Nchu Police station for further investigation. The case was assigned to Detective/Constable Thabang Mokone of the Provincial Task team and he arrested the two men two days after the commission of the crime and they have been in custody ever since.
On Tuesday 28 November 2017, they appeared before Thaba Nchu Magistrate court and were sentenced to 15 years imprisonment each for house breaking with intent to rob and robbery.
