Bultfontein: A woman was walking alone on the morning of 28th October 2017, when she was attacked, threatened with a knife and raped. The incident was reported to the Police and an 18 years old suspect was arrested on the same day by members of Visible Policing.
On the 28 October 2017, a 19 years old teenage girl was on her way home next to house number 2553 Phahameng, when she was approached by an African male person. He threatened her with a knife, not to shout for help. The victim was subsequently raped.
After the rape ordeal, the incident was reported to the Police and a case of rape was registered for further investigation. Since the suspect was known, members launched a manhunt until an 18 year old teenage boy, was arrested by Constable Matshediso Ntantiso and Constable Fusi Leholi of Bultfontein Visible Policing.
The suspect appeared on Monday the 30 October 2017 in Bultfontein Magistrate Court and faced a rape charge.
