Clocolan: On Monday 23 November 2020, the off duty Sergeant of Clocolan Police station received information about a suspicious vehicle that was abandoned on the street in Hlohlolwane.

He responded quickly and drove to the scene in his private vehicle and managed to arrest a twenty five year old man who was inside the vehicle. Suspect was found with a blood stained okapi knife and his clothing were also stained with blood.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was hijacked from Pimville in Gauteng where the owner was stabbed with a knife and died at the scene. The 35 year old deceased was robbed his vehicle, cellphone, identification card, bank cards, clothing and cash.

Suspect is detained and charged with murder and carjacking and will appear before the Clocolan Magistrate court on Wednesday; the 25 November 2020.
