Bultfontein: a 35 year old Gorman Duma, appeared briefly in the Bultfontein Magistrates Court on Monday 5 August 2019 after he was arrested by members of Bultfontein Crime Prevention Unit in Phahameng location, for dealing in drugs.
The case was postponed for bail application on the 12 August 2019. Members were applauded for a job well done.
On Sunday 4 August 2019, the Bultfontein Crime Prevention Unit were busy with their routine patrols and crime prevention duties when they sported four suspicious African males standing at corner Joubert Street, Phahameng near Senekal’s tavern.
As the members approached the four men with bright lit police vehicle, one of the suspects dropped a transparent plastic bag to the ground and stood still.
Upon arrival at the suspects’ point, Constable Thabiso Makhoba, Constable Lefuma Monokoane and Constable Tshidiso Tladi discovered 44 full and 3 halves of Mandrax tables, with estimated total street value of R2 730.00.
The Police searched all four suspects and discovered that one of the four suspects had bought the drug and was waiting for his change, which lead to Mr Duma as the dealer. A cash amount of R1551.00 was found in Mr Duma’s possession and was arrested for dealing in drugs.
