A total of 1 630 008 tests have been processed cumulatively of which 33 013 tests have been conducted since the last report.

Reported COVID-19 Deaths

Regrettably, 128 more COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: 4 from Mpumalanga, 25 from the Eastern Cape, 36 from Gauteng, 11 from KwaZulu Natal and 52 from the Western Cape.  This brings the total national deaths to 2 657 with a mortality rate of 1,8%.

The recoveries to date are 73 543 and this translates to a recovery rate of 48,6%.
