88 COVID-19 related deaths have been reported: 73 from Western Cape, 9 from the Eastern Cape, and 6 from Gauteng Province.

This brings the total national deaths to 1568 with a mortality rate of 2,1%.

The recoveries to date are 39 867 and this translates to a recovery rate of 54,2%.
