Wesselsbron: The Deputy Provincial Commissioner Human Resource, made a courtesy visit to his mentee who is a learner at Iphateleng High school.

On Tuesday 11 June 2019,  the courtesy visit was arranged by the office of the Cluster Commander of Welkom; Major General Molale and his team, to visit Iphateleng School in Monyakeng Wesselsbron.

Junior Leadership Programme emanates from Provincial Youth Crime Prevention Frame work. School learners are been introduced into leadership. This initiative is targeting school learners to confront Anti- Bullying and school cased Crime Prevention.

These school learners are not Police informers but introduced into leadership and are not confined to enlist the Police Service. They can choose any career they want to pursue.

The event was held in the staff room of Iphateleng High School where Lt Col. Limakatso Qakoshe opened with a prayer, School Governing Body Chairperson Mr Philemon Maloka welcomed everybody who graced the event, especially the mentor Major Generals Makubo and Molale as well as the principal Dr Sehloho.

Mr Lefu Malefane, Chairperson of Wesselsbron Community Policing Forum [CPF] delivered the message of support and furher wished the learner Bodlo well in her academic space.

Major General Makhubo thanked the Welkom Cluster Office for their commitment in helping the leaner in need. He also make mention that they will be leaving the organization in due time and projects like this one helps to groom the future police officers to take the button forward after them. He said Ms Bodlo will be the light in her school, her community and peers. He also promised to support Ms Bodlo at all times.

Major general Lerato Molale thanked everyone who were present at the event, Chairperson of CPF Mr Lefu Malefane, Chairperson of SGB Mr Phillemon Maloka, School Principal Mr Tsietsi Sehloho and everyone else. He said police and school circle is a link between the two, and the police are friends to the school.
