Phuthaditjhaba: The Phuthaditjhaba Central Business District is well known by community members as infested by a number of drug peddlers selling various types of drugs like Nyaope and dagga.
As a result, the community provided information to the police which was followed by Public Order Police Task Team.
On Monday, 11 February 2020, the team was busy patrolling the area when they tactically approached a 50 year old foreign national and found plastic bags carrying drugs known as CAT hidden inside his socks to an estimated street value of R12 000 and cash.
At Bluegumbosch, the team followed another information which led them to a certain house where a 33 year-old woman was found with a bag of dagga weighing 12.46 kg to an estimated street value of R13 000.
The third suspect, a 48-year-old man found with 6.92 kg of dagga to an estimated street value of R1200.
All the three suspects were charged with dealing in drugs and dagga and appeared in the Phuthaditjhaba Magistrate court on Wednesday, the 12 February 2020.
