Botshabelo: On the 10 May 2020, two brothers were walking at Section W, Botshabelo and as they were about to pass a local crèche, a group of boys appeared and allegedly started stabbing the 30 year-old brother

The victim was stabbed multiple times on the head and upper body and was referred to hospital for treatment. A case of attempted murder was opened for investigation.

Selosesha Tactical Response Team managed to trace the suspects and eight males aged between 18 and 30 suspected to be part of Maroma gang, were apprehended. Knives suspected to have been used in the commission of crime were confisctated.

Suspects are expected to appear before Botshabelo Magistrates’ Court soon facing charges of attempted murder.

Police appeals to community members to abide to COVID-19 regulations by staying at their homes and only go out to get essential services.
