Everything happens for a reason, a purpose and it serves us.

“The mind is its own place, and it self can make a Heaven of Hell, a Hell of Heaven.” – John Milton

I have always been a great admirer of Anthony Robbins, more so his book – Unlimited Power. In one of the chapters he talks about the “Seven lies of success”. I would be taking time to share you this seven beliefs, starting from today and upcoming few weeks. They have changed my perception about how I perceived my beliefs, power, success and how I live my life today.

This is my personal journey and derived from what I learnt from the book.

Firstly, beliefs are our own fundamental choices we make about how we view our lives and how we choose to live them. They guide us to the outcomes that we want.

“BELIEF #1: Everything happens for a reason and a purpose and it serves us.”

“Marilyn Hamilton was a former teacher and beauty queen and she is now a successful businesswoman in Fresno, California. She is also the survivor of a terrible accident. At age twenty nine, she fell down a rocky cliff in a hang-gliding accident that left her in a wheelchair, paralysed below the waist.”

Instead of Marilyn mopping and blaming everything or everyone for what happened to her, she instead focused on what possibilities were ahead of her. She was not comfortable in her wheelchair and decided to change it for the better.

With the assistance of her two friends, they started designing a better one and this business became a multimillion dollar business and a success story that changed the wheelchair industry.

Many a time when tragedy or hardships strike us in our lives, we blame anything and everything (living or dead) but we fail to understand why it happened. Like God’s purpose and plan for everyone is different, so will our paths and directions.

Life gives us challenges and situations to either learn, fail, succeed, deal or come out stronger from them.

It may seem not so when that happens, but know that EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON, A PURPOSE AND IT SERVES US. “Do you see a potential in situations, or do you see roadblocks? Belief in limits creates limited people. The key is to let go of those limitations and operate from a higher set of resources.

The leaders in our society are the people who see the possibilities, who can go into a dessert and see a garden.” – Anthony Robbins
