Welkom: The 29 year old man (identity known) who posed allegedly as Mr Fritz Terblanche, appeared in the Welkom Magistrate Court on the 20 May 2020 on the charges of fraud, theft and possession of suspected stolen property.
He was granted bail of R1500 and will appear again on the 26 June 2020.
The suspect was arrested on Monday; the 18 May 2020, after three cases were registered against him. It is alleged that the suspect previously worked for a security company and when he left that company, he did not return their uniform and has been pretending to be the employee of the company.
He has allegedly been defrauding company’s clients under the false pretence using the company name. He allegedly defrauded the company by providing the clients with services and goods on a private capacity and never produced the paper work for the clients.
He also never completed the work he promised to deliver and leaving the clients angry with the company. Victims were defrauded more than R7000.
The following items were seized; a blue file containing SOG documents, Johnson shirts with SOG logos, Cargo pants, RDC tester and alarm wire.
