Bothaville: Police in Bothaville have arrested 5 male suspects for gang fighting at Khotsong, Bothaville.

Suspects appeared in court on Monday, 11 November 2019.

On the 07 November 2019, a complaint was received through radio control about a gang fighting at “Phomasbethane” section, Khotsong, Bothaville. Upon the arrival of the police at the given place, they found people fighting using dangerous weapons.

When the suspects saw the police vehicle they ran away and the police gave chase. Police managed to arrest five of the suspects between the ages of 18 to 27 years.

The suspects were arrested and charged with possession of dangerous weapon as 4 pangas and 1 knife were found in their possession.

Acting Station Commander of Bothaville Lieutenant Colonel Mogwera applauded his members Constable Goitsemang Sebodi and Constable Jakobo Mostumi for acting swiftly and arresting suspects.

“As we are heading to festive season we will take all the criminals away and clean the streets of Bothaville and Khotsong so that the community may have a safe and sound festive season.” he concluded.
