Lindley: Five suspects aged between 25 and 55 are expected to appear in the Lindley Magistrates Court soon for stock theft. They were arrested on Monday 4 February by a multifaceted team comprising Visible Policing, Stock Theft Unit, Crime Intelligence, farm workers, and farm owners who all dedicated resources to conduct a search of suspects.

Lindley Station Commander, Captain Tebalo Mofokeng, received information about a vehicle travelling between Lindley and Bethlehem. He mobilised his counterpart in Paul Roux and soon the said vehicle was spotted. Suspects stopped the vehicle and tried to run away.

A search party was called and in no time, four were nabbed. Nine sheep carcasses were found hidden inside suspects` vehicle. The fifth suspect, who was in possession of the tenth carcass, was traced to Ntha-Lindley where he was also arrested. The stock was later confirmed as stolen from a farm near Lindley.
