I choose to focus on possibilities instead of problems to create more opportunities.
Calm waters never created a skilled sailor. Let the storm strengthen you. When you are walking through a difficult situation, you have a choice to consider it a joy or consider it a hardship.
If you consider it a hardship, you begin to complain and lose any joy you have. But when you consider that you have to face the trial, you should know that you can use it to bring something good into your life.
Your decision then becomes to discover the good, not the bad, and to joyfully endure the trial. You do not find joy in the trial or pain. There is a reward for going through difficulties with a good attitude.
When you go through challenges in faith with your head held high, knowing that God is fighting your battles, then a reward is coming. You are going to come out better. God is ordering your footsteps to get you there. All stolen moments, goods, opportunities, favour and finances are coming back.
These days, I remind and tell myself to think of and put my energy into the possibilities, not the problems. Those past, present, or future. This does not mean that I ignore reality and live in an illusory or imaginary world with rainbows and sunshine all the time.
It means that I acknowledge and accept what is both good and bad. I consider the possible consequences and outcomes and choose to focus my energy on creating positive, while being prepared to respond to whatever arises and work with it for my good.
I would rather take a risk than have regret. Instead of asking God “Why me?,” I ask Him “Why not me?” When you focus on problems, you will have more problems. When you focus on possibilities, you will have more opportunities. Dream, wish, pray and make it happen.
