Bloemfontein: As of the 26 January 2021, Free State COVID-19 confirmed cases stand at 77 413, with 294 new cases.

The latest Free State COVID-19 new positive cases data is as follows:

There are 294 new cases:

• 84 in Mangaung Metro;
• 16 in Fezile Dabi;
• 140 Thabo Mofutsanyana;
• 38 in Lejweleputswa;
• 13 in Xhariep; and
• 3 Unknown districts

Provincial cases data:

• Total confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province stand at 74 413;
• Recoveries now stand at 62 737 (84%);
• The prevalence among people younger than 20 years is 12% (8 567 out of 74 413);
• The median (IQR) age of cumulative COVID-19 cases is 40 (29-53) years;
• More females are infected at 60%; (44 307 out of 74 185);
• 2 671 deaths reported in the province to date, with highest case fatality rate reported in Lejweleputswa District;
• The provincial case fatality rate is 3.6%;
• The median (IQR) age of COVID-19 deaths is 64 (54-74) years;
• Majority of the deaths are in older age groups – 45 years and above (2 329 out 2 671); and
• 43% of deaths are recorded among males (1 144 out of 2 671).
