Tweeling: Information that was followed-up by members of Tweeling SAPS led to the arrest of a woman and two men at separate houses in Mafahlaneng; Tweeling on Friday; 10 September 2021.

SAPS members led by the Station Commander Capt Malefetsane Mtholo went to one of the houses in Chris Hani section of Mafahlaneng; Tweeling. On arrival, they searched the house and a shack. Dagga, nyaope, crystal meth and mandrax were found in the house and other dagga was found in the shack.

A male suspect aged 27 and his 32-year-old sister were arrested. The dagga including drugs with the estimated street value of about R11 470.00, were confiscated by the police.

On the same day, a complaint was received about a person suspected to possess illegal firearm. His house was searched where a toy gun and 23 different kinds of live ammunition comprising of R1, R5 and 9mm calibre were found and confiscated. A 21 year-old house owner was arrested.

The three suspects will be charged and are expected to appear at the Frankfort Magistrates’ Court on Monday; 13 September 2021, for charges ranging from possession of drugs, possession of ammunition and common assault.
