Thabong: Lejweleputswa District Junior Management Core (JMC), was officially launched on Thursday; 24 March 2022, at Thabong Indoor Sports Centre.

This auspicious event was opened with a scripture reading by Reverend (Captain) Morake Vinger while Sergeant Malindi and Administration Clerk Mnyombolo, directed the programme.

Sergeant Lerato Mofokeng welcomed all guests in attendance. The JMC District Chairpersons from Fezile Dabi, Thabo Mofutsanayane and Xhariep graced the launch flanked by their members.

The purpose of the event was clearly outlined by Lejweleputswa District JMC Chairperson Warrant Officer Tshepo Sejake. He reminded members of the importance of being part of the JMC as its activities are aimed at breeding future leaders through participative management and instilling discipline within the junior ranks by rooting out corruption.

Captain Serame Polori, Men For Change Deputy Chairperson, delivered the message of support and encouraged members to take part in all JMC initiatives.

The motivational Speaker from Central University of Technology Welkom Campus Director; Professor Oupa Makole, talked about the power of great leadership and how it can transform the mind, attitude and further advance the objectives of the organization.

The Acting Station Commander of Thabong; Colonel Nyamane, delivered the key note address. He encouraged Junior members to further their studies, have proper understanding of the policies of the organisation and be innovative in their approach to transforming the future of the SAPS which will be in their hands in future.

Mr Mandla read the JMC Pledge. Vote of Thanks was delivered by Diphagwe who is Public Relations Officer of Lejweleputswa District JMC.

The event proceeded to day two where all members from 20 Police Stations from Lejweleputswa District took part in an operation at Welkom CBD and Thabong where various taverns were visited.

They also made an awareness on Human Trafficking, Rape, Domestic Violence. Numerous people were nabbed for dealing in drugs, Possession of dagga and others for illegal immigration Act, selling liquor without a license and drinking in public.
