Welkom: The Police are looking for two unknown men with Lesotho accent after they allegedly kidnapped Mr Ephraim Tsotetsi on his way back from work. No one has seen him since the incident.

On the 23 January 2019, the complainant alleges that he requested a lift from Mr Ephraim Tsotetsi who works at Beatrix shaft 4 {Oryx] mine. Mr Tsotetsi was travelling in a silver Toyota Hilux with FS registration numbers.

They were travelling on the R30 road from Beatrix to Welkom. They entered at Long road junction in Bedelia near Lakeview dam. Mr Tsotetsi allegedly stopped the bakkie as he saw four unknown African men approaching.

The men allegedly approached them from both sides of the road. One of the men was holding a firearm in his hand. The hitchhiker then jumped out of the bakkie and ran to the nearby pub.

He saw from a distance while on the run, when the men took the driver [Mr Tsotetsi] and his bakkie and drove away. Two of the men ran into the bushes near Lakeview dam.

Mr Tsotetsi is medium in complexion, slender, about 1.7 height, he was wearing a black T-shirt, blue overall pants and black sneakers. During preliminary investigation, the mine was consulted and the missing person could not be traced in the records of Beatrix mine.

Identikits of the suspects was compiled, the first suspect is dark in complexion, slender, about 1.6 height, short shaven hair, he was wearing black sports hat, brown t-shirt, grey pants and grey Puma sneakers. The second suspect is also dark in complexion, muscular, about 1.6 height, brush cut, he was wearing a brown leather jacket, blue overall pants and Puma sneakers.
