Botshabelo: Tebobo Jonas Lebajoa (30), will spend the rest of his life behind bars after he was slapped with life imprisonment by the Botshabelo Regional court for rape.

During trial it was discovered that the accused broke a window to gain entry into the victim’s house at Section K; Botshabelo, on the 18 December 2015. He threatened a 58 year-old victim who was asleep at the time with a knife and raped her before fleeing the scene.

A case of rape was opened for investigation. It was assigned to Detective Sergeant Lebohang Mohai of Selosesha Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS).

During March 2018 the accused was apprehended for alleged rape incident at Section H; Botshabelo, but was later released to allow continuation of investigation.

Teboho was later positively linked through DNA sample and re-arrested on the 18 May 2019. He was remanded in custody until his sentencing.
