Bultfontein: Station Bultfontein has received a new commander who was appointed in December and she resumes her duty early January 2019. Born and bred at Theunissen and being in the service for 32 years is what makes this energetic and committed Police woman to fly the flag of the Police Service high.

She enlisted the South African Police Service in 1986. She worked at various police stations and received promotions until to the level of a Captain. She served as Station Commander in the following Police Stations; Glen and Steynsrus. She was promoted and appointed to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel during December 2018 as Bultfontein Station Commander.

She studied Diploma in Policing and other SAPS courses. She promises to ensure that residents of Phahameng, Bultfontein and farming community are and feel safe. She accepts that she is joining a powerful workforce and continue together to fight crime, have crime awareness campaigns to address the root causes of priority crimes like domestic violence, assault GBH, stock theft, residential and business burglaries.

With the vast experience she has in the Police Service, she promised to develop the skills of her team in the working environment, promote partnership with other stakeholders like Community Policing Forum, other Government departments, Business Community and farming community, regain trust of the community towards the SAPS, motivating of members is key in addressing levels of crime to bring them low and residents are requested to continue coming forward to give information to solve serious cases in Bultfontein Station precinct.

Residents are once more requested to attend to CPF, Sector meetings and Imbizos because that is where crime pattern analysis will be presented. Together we can do more in eradicating criminal acts within our society.
