Bultfontein: Eleven suspects, Tsekiso Shale (36), Modisenyane Hlapane (37), Mahlomola Majawetsa (29), Pule Kheswa (29), Mbuyiselo Mahonono (37), Moleleki Lesale (38), William Katase (36), Springkan Mahonono (38), Molefi Dintoe (27), Rethabile Makaloba (33) and a 74 year old Rebecca Mciya appeared in Bultfontein magistrate court on 11 February 2019.

Mciya was released on warning after she was charged with possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition. The other suspects appeared in court for possession of suspected stolen property.

The case was postponed to 18 February for further investigation and possible formal bail application. During early February 2019, there was a burglary at Bloemrust farm were 4 firearms were stolen.

On Saturday, 9 February 2019, members of Public Order Policing Task Team followed information and arrested the suspects one after the other. Mciya led the police to the open field near Vredehoek farm were they have hidden the one firearm in a shallow grave.

Pop members continue and went to a farm just 10km outside Bultfontein, where they discovered valuable property. Members worked tirelessly and discovered other five firearms stolen during house breaking.
