Mama Adelaide would have turned 100 years old on October 21, 2018.

Anti-Apatheid activist Nontsikelelo Albertina Sisulu, has been described as a woman of integrity, fortitude and fearless champion of democracy who fought for human rights.
Minister of Communications Nomvula Mokonyane delivered the Albertina Sisulu Memorial lecture and said the ANC in Free State, should restore hope to its people for the sake of Ma Sisulu.
She also said Ma Sisulu provided much needed leadership during the difficult years of apartheid and made sure that women’s voices were heard.
