On Saturday; 21 December 2019, Selosesha Tactical Response Team reacted to an intelligence driven information about the suspects involved in the robbery of a liquor section at a Grocery store in Reyahola complex; in Botshabelo. Upon receiving the information, two suspects were traced and arrested.
It is alleged that suspects targeted the unsuspecting employees of a grocery store who were offloading liquor from a truck into the shop. The suspects aged 23 and 24 years old, emerged from the side of the truck and threatened the employees with knives. They took 12 bottles of expensive whisky and fled the scene on foot. No employee was injured.
Crime intelligence gathered quickly to put together information and the suspects were arrested two hours after the robbery. They were found busy selling the loot. Some of the bottles were recovered and an undisclosed amount of cash. They will appear in court soon.

Three more suspects were arrested on Sunday; 22 December 2019, after the Tactical response team reacted to intelligence driven information about a navy blue Mazda delivering dagga in Thaba Nchu.
The Mazda was spotted and stopped. In the vehicle, police found two male foreign national aged 30 and 32 years old and also found 6 Swati dagga bags and an undisclosed amount of cash.
While searching the vehicle, one of the runners 36-year-old, called asking for the dagga. Members lured him to the place and he was arrested after he was found with plastic packets used for the selling of dagga.
All three suspects will appear in the Thaba Nchu Magistrate court soon for dealing in dagga.
