Thabong: The Police request community members to assist with information that will assist in tracing six unknown suspects in connection with a Robbery that occurred at one of the bottle stores in Thabong. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

It is alleged that on Sunday evening; 15 December 2019, Ago’s Liquor store was still operating when four unknown African males entered the store and allegedly forced the owner Mr Agostinho Fiqueira [50] and his employee, to the store room.

It is alleged that the men ordered them to open the safe and took all the money in it as well as the one inside the till drawers. The robbers then went on to search one of the clients who was lying on the floor and forcefully took his cash and cellphone.

Two employees’ cellphones, left at the tills when they were trying to take cover, were also stolen by the robbers.

Apparently two other suspects were holding other staff members and clients at gunpoint. All six suspects then fled the scene on foot in the direction of A Hostel and one shot was fired. No one was injured during the ordeal and no one has been arrested yet.

The investigation continues.
