Bultfontein: Members of POP Reaction Team followed up information which led to the arrest of two suspects Mr Paseka Rankhasa [45] and Ms Selina Molete [44] in connection with a robbery that occurred at Doringpan farm where they took away stokvel savings.

On the 28 November 2019, the complainant was at her home with her husband and their children when they heard a knock at the door. Suddenly four men entered the house and pointed them with a firearm and knife.

They then stabbed the husband on the head and took them to the bedroom where they tied them with a cable charger and shoe laces and demanded cash from wife.

They took away a Plasma Television, 4 cellphones and R33 000 in cash.

The two suspects were caught at the Wesselsbron/Odendaalsurs road. The suspects appeared at the Bultfontein magistrates court and their case has been remanded to the 6 December 2019, for formal bail application.

The third suspect [39], was also arrested and he will soon appear in court. The Police are still looking for the other two of the five suspects who were driving a Maroon City Golf.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman who was together with the suspects during the robbery previously stayed at the farm.

The savings belongs to some members at the farm who contributed since January and they were preparing to share their savings soon.
