This precious gift called Life: When the heart unexpectingly stops beating.

When a close friend unexpectingly leaves us, a piece of our hearts is forever broken. Losing someone you’re close to is one of the toughest things that can happen to anyone.

You can feel shock and disbelief that it happened, intense sadness, anger or loneliness. Everyone reacts to death differently and however you’re feeling is OK.

When I was writing last week’s Blog about “This gift of life”, I was feeling a sense of relief. This came after we visited a close friend of my wife and my homegirl at the hospital after a car accident at the weekend.

We were so happy to see her alive and bubbly. Little did we know that her life was spared for the moment(few days) and she sadly lost her life.

When we heard the news that her beautiful heart had stopped beating, our hearts were broken in two. We knew then that here on earth, there will never be anyone like her.

In a short space of time, she made a huge impact in our proffessional and personal lives. We are saddened by your departure, however, consoled by the fact that our paths crossed.

To former colleagues and current ones, ask the Lord to give you strength to let go and entrust everything to HIM.

To the family, we send our deepest condolences. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh.

And with this verse, we hope you will comfort from everybody around you and most importantly, from the Lord – Isaiah 41:10 KJV says – “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

If anyone can only tell me “where is the good in goodbye” maybe I will know and understand. Rest in peace daughter, mother, sister and friend. You may be gone but not forgotten and you will remain in our hearts, forever. DEATH BE NOT PROUD!!!!!!!
