Heilbron: Two (2) suspects aged 27 and 30, have been arrested after they were found in possession of stolen livestock at Languerwacht farm in Heilbron on Tuesday; 10 May 2022.

The farm owner alleged that on Tuesday; 10 May 2022, he counted his sheep, locked the gate and took his employees home. On Wednesday; 11 May 2022, he received a call from a neighbour who informed him that his sheep are wondering around and seem like the fence has been cut.

The farm owner came back and viewed camera footage that showed a bakkie loaded with the livestock, headed towards the direction of Sasolburg. Police were alerted and after following leads, found 12 sheep locked inside a room at one of the houses in Zamdela.

Two suspects were arrested and 15 sheep, with the estimated value of R30 000.00, were recovered by the police.

The two suspects will appear before the Heilbron Magistrate Court on Friday; 13 May 2022, on a charge of stock theft and possession of suspected stolen property under Stock Theft Act.
