Bloemfontein: The police in Parkweg; Bloemfontein are looking for two suspects aged 53 and 33, for fraud and malicious damage to property after they allegedly damaged the complainant’s engine.

In July 2019, the complainant took his construction vehicle engine to the two suspects at a mechanical repair shop in Bloemfontein for repairs. The two suspects charged the complainant an amount of R100 000 for transportation of the engine, then R140 000 for repairs.

They allegedly poured a Stop Smoke oil in a quest to fix it, but when they owner fetched the engine and tested it, it seized to work completely and was damaged.

Returning to the said shop, the two suspects were found to have fled with his R240 000. A case of fraud and malicious damage to property was registered and the suspects who were last seen in Randburg; Johannesburg, are still at large.
