Phuthaditjhaba: Today; 15 October 2021, Premier Sisi Ntombela together with the MEC for Health, Montseng Tsiu, held a successful Vooma vaccination campaign in Maluti a Phofung Local Municipality, at the Phuthaditjhaba Multipurpose Centre.

They were joined by various key stakeholders; traditional leaders, faith based organisations, civil society and the organisation for people living with disabilities and other community organisations.

The aim of the programme was to encourage people to arm themselves against the COVID-19 pandemic in line with the objectives of the Vooma vaccination campaign as led by His Excellency, President Cyril Matamela Ramaphosa.

“We are encouraged by the overwhelming response the campaign received from the various stakeholder organisations and their constituencies. The unity demonstrated by all roleplayers in calling for increased numbers to vaccinate is a clear indication of the power of cooperation between government and the people.” Premier Sisi Ntombela said.

“We are confident that we will reach our herd immunity in the province, this will indeed play a critical role in ensuring that we reclaim our lives.” she added.

The cardinal message remains consistent, vaccines saves lives. The provincial government call on all people to go out and get vaccinated.
