Bothaville: A case of Common Robbery is under investigation after a woman was robbed of cash by three unknown men immediately after withdrawal at the bank.

Suspects are still at large and members of the public are requested to provide information that will assist in tracing the trio.

On the 06 December 2019, a 29 year old woman alleged that she went to the bank to withdraw R3000.00 in cash. She then went to U-Save shop. Next to the shop, she was approached by an unknown African male person who strangled and pulled her with her clothes. There were two other men were standing in front of her.

One of them forcefully grabbed her handbag and took R3000.00 cash which was inside her purse and all three of them fled the scene with a blue BMW motor vehicle, with an unknown registration number.

The Police would like to warn members of the public to be vigilant at all times and should not carry large amounts of cash with them while busy with their shopping spree during this festive season. They are encouraged to rather swipe at the shops than to withdraw cash at ATM’S as it lures criminals to rob them.

Should anyone have positive information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects or the incident, Detective Constable Nthabiseng Molosi of Bothaville Detective Services can be contacted at cellphone number 082 301 2954.
